Ciao! Isn’t it the best word and makes me sound like i can speak Italian? In Italy, it’s how you say hello and goodbye.

Around the edges of this print, I’ve added an ornate border, inspired by those fabulous, bold Sicilian patterns you see everywhere, on tablecloths, plant pots, tiles, you name it.

When on hols you gotta get down with the lingo and say “Ciao Ciao!” to everyone you meet.

This print is part of my Sunshine in Sicily collection aka the visual diary of that rare, peaceful child-free holiday with my other half. With so much free time, I got my art on, watercolours out and illustrated the fun, little moments that made Sicily unforgettable.
