Hey, I’m Carla, designer, illustrator, poet and all-round creative.
Professional overthinker, positive enthusiast, magpie mentality. Loves organisation but messy by nature. Mum to one girl and one boy.
Here for colour, true crime and far too many self-help podcasts. Sunshine is life, nature fixes most things, and I’m partial to an Earl G, a Nero D or a margarita …always spicy.
All About Me started when everything changed. Redundancy, mum-life, moving back up north and I was trying to figure out who the hell I was again.
I’d spent 14 years in kids fashion design, travelling the world and building other people’s brands… and then suddenly it all stopped.
The job market changed (yawn), the panny d happened, and after years of working full-time for companies, I found myself starting again mid-life, freelance, which was terrifying.
I’d made a vision board about two months before all this happened and somehow, it pretty much all came true. Still blows my mind. Be careful what you wish for!!!
But I was still like, what the hell now?
My drawings, prints and tees became daily reminder for me, and anyone else who needed it, to keep going, appreciate what you have, have fun, and believe you god dam can!
I’m obsessed with colour. Wearing it, surrounding myself with it, living in it. It definitely changes how I feel. Colour is energy and those small, visual reminders can actually rewire the way your brain thinks.
Everything I make has a story behind it. A reason. A feeling.
Sometimes it’s a pep talk to myself.
Sometimes it’s about the little things that make you smile.
Always a reminder that life’s way too short not to make the most of it.
Sprinkling fun, positivity into the chaos of everyday life.
It’s a mix of everything that I love. Its all about finding confidence, connection and finding your people.
Here for the colour lovers, dreamers, the over-thinkers and anyone who needs a little reminder to have a laugh even when it all feels a bit much and of course not take life too seriously.
Playful prints, empowering design and stories that celebrate life’s messy, magical moments.
Somewhere between reading way too many self-development books, my own limiting beliefs, and just living everyday life, I’ve picked up a few mantras that I live by…here’s some favs!
Feel the fear and do it anyway.
It’s not that deep!
Focus on what you do want (not what you don’t)
Find beauty in the CHAOS.
Colour is energy!
Community is everything.
No one’s coming to save you.
How would I view this on my death bed?
I really believe the way you speak to yourself matters.
Those little internal chats can make you feel sad… Always work in progress but I TRY to flip mine into you can do this, and gratitude.
You can build something from creative chaos.
You can change the story you tell yourself.
And you don’t have to do it alone.
